SPLURGE ON A PARADOR

Paradores de Turismo is a Spanish chain of luxury hotels. Most of them are in historical buildings, sometimes in former monasteries or convents, and located in unique places with amazing views. Their modern accommodations and their refined service make of them a very good option of quality tourism in Spain. There are almost 100 hotels, so that probably there is one close to your holidays destiny.

Paradores has an agreement with the Coeliacs Federation of Associations of Spain, so they know very well the gluten-free diet. For breakfast you will have bread, cereals, cakes safe for coeliacs, apart from a lot of other naturally gluten-free things: fresh fruits and juices, eggs, omelette, cheese, yogurt, vegetables… breakfasts are plentiful.
And their restaurants are superb! Maintaining the traditional gastronomy of Spain, they offer dishes for special needs. As for coeliacs, there is always a gluten-free choice in their menu and they adapt almost every dish if needed.
If you want to taste traditional gastronomy of Madrid, every week day of this autumn Parador de Alcalá de Henares (monumental village near Madrid) offers its cocido madrileño (soup, chickpeas, meat and vegetables) safe for coeliacs.
You can not miss it, splurge on a Parador!
